Waqas Khan was born in Akhtarabad, Pakistan, in 1982. In 2008 he obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in the National College of Arts, Lahore, Pakistan, where he trained as a printmaker, and displayed an interest in miniature painting. Khan’s practice primarily employs a minimalist approach in which larger forms, which are described as having biological or “celestial” qualities. Waqas Khan has exhibited in solo and group shows internationally.
