About " Journal de bord" :
It is undoubtedly necessary for artists, regardless of discipline... artistic they exercise to try; in these difficult times, to embalm the the world of what they do best and try to bring a glance different to their environment. For my part, I've been trying for days, confined to my home, to to think of a format of expression that might work for me. The idea of a "logbook" seemed obvious to me; a capsule of 4 to 5 minutes in which I propose a daily reflection on the the artist's relationship to his work, the usefulness of art in a confined world as well as the quarantine, as a possible creation engine. For me, it will be a question of producing a work that can sound as a summation of the last five years I've had to chain, as a DJ, over 500 parties across the country. For this, I will base myself on the lyrics that I have been writing daily since the beginning of the lockdown but also on snippets of video I'm taking almost every day and hours of video footage that I've got collected over the last five years ( images include excerpts from the of my lives, video-backstage, etc.).
"Journal De Bord" is proposed as a multidisciplinary work. mixing literature, music and video. Thought like a real newspaper, it proposes a daily reflection centred essentially on the place that the artist occupies in today's world. Starting from an autobiographical story and trying to create a parallel between that period of confinement and the last five years that I've had
must have had more than 500 parties across the country, I would daily attempt to decipher the reality of a confined musician within four walls and who tries, despite the current circumstances... to undertake new projects. These videos will try to bridge the gap between the current state and the world of night in which I've been immersed for the past few years and the synthesize, in music, in text but also based on the dozens of of hours of archived video footage and I had to collect these the last few years. Basically, the idea is to propose a "Journal De Bord"... multidisciplinary; mixing poetry, music and video and highlighting the difficulties an artist may encounter in the circumstances concerns, questions, and aspirations of the current situation.

The idea, at present, would be to develop ten more episodes over the next six months. weeks and then begin airing in the seventh week. week. The rest of the episodes could in this case be published daily, over ten days. I also do not rule out the possibility of collecting, once the project is finalized, the 10 episodes in order to create a film (lasting an hour or so).
Benjemy Biography :
Born in 1989, Benjemy is a multifaceted artist. Author-composer, DJ but also a PhD student in modern literature, he tries to combine sound with his first passion which is literature. In solo or in collective, most of his work is based on the synthesis between disciplines and genres. He uses literature (poetry more precisely) as a soluble material in different artistic expressions. As a musician oscillating between acoustic and electronic sounds, Benjemy's universe remains dark, incisive and puts chaos, vanity and impulses at the very centre of creation.
