Presentation of the project :
The project is a short documentary movie that accounts for mixed feeling resulting from reflecting on the daily details of a three-generation Tunisian family under quarantine. These details stir a great deal of imagination and creativity in the director/ cartoon painter’s mind.
A Tunisian family composed of 3 generations ( Parents, children and grand-children) living in their family household during quarantine days, to the beat of news and daily house chores, pending the end of quarantine and restoration of “ordinary” life.
The director, who is one of the children, is involved in a constant oscillation between the details of the family in the domestic space and the incessant news coming through TV and radio. He ushers us, by dint of narrative voiceover and animated sequences, into his own internal world; brimming with ideas, hopes, fears and fantasies about the external space in its ongoing reconstruction.

Note of intent :
At a time where everyone is seeking shelter from the pandemic threat by going back to their homes, the external space has morphed into a source of fear, fantasy and suspence, all at once.
With the accumulation of years, stress of work and daily life, home has become an almost invisible space of passage. Yet, here it is now capturing all of a sudden our complete attention, not unlike family, which has forcefully seized and restored its old founding role typical to societies such as ours, in supporting the indivdual, albeit repressing it oftentimes, too.
This is indeed a highly inspiring, yet provocative experience to the creative imagination, pleasurable yet so painful, too. Suffice to say that what defines its boundaries is a death threat on one side and a return to life from the other, and in-between both a gradual emancipation from matters of triviality.
