Presentation of the project :
The project consists of the creation of educational capsules on the use of computer-assisted music techniques to allow musicians to work together despite their isolation. As an illustration, a piece will be recorded using three artists who, in addition to recording, will demonstrate their equipment, processes and any difficulties encountered. The whole thing will be filmed and edited in order to make educational capsules that will be broadcast on the internet.
Interest of the project :
In Tunisia, the mastery of computer-assisted music techniques remains limited and reserved essentially for young people already familiar with the technology. However, we note that these technologies are widely used throughout the world and are no longer reserved for a particular category. We propose to create educational capsules, in Tunisian dialect, to familiarize musicians from all walks of life with these techniques and allow them to collaborate regardless of their physical location and thus overcome isolation. Moreover, our project will reduce the digital gap between different generations of musicians.
Broadcasting :
In this stage we will call upon the various media to publicize the capsules and encourage their adoption by artists.
Project leader :
Pianist, composer/arranger and sound designer, studio musician since 1990, Sami Ben Said pursued his high studies in musicology at the Sorbonne, his stay in Paris allowed him to collaborate for several years with musicians of all kinds. He taught at the Higher Institute of Music in Tunis, the Higher Institute of Multimedia Arts in La Manouba and the Higher Institute of Music in Sousse.
