As part of the new cultural season, the Kamel Lazaar Foundation and the Institut français de Tunisie present MEULE, a French Kraut garage band, for the first time in Tunisia.

Meule is made up of modular synths, a guitar and two drums, all played by three musicians crossed paths with other groups from the Touraine region (Thé Vanille, C4DILL4C, Lehmann Brothers...). Their music is driven by repetitive, saturated CAN-style grooves, sequencers and electronic atmospheres reminiscent of Tangerine Dream and the German kraut softs of the 70s. Closer to home, Animal Collective come to mind in their ode to post-modern psychedelia, like Mario Kart on a nutella run on a moonlit night.
