About Popytirz :
POPYTIRZ is a Tunisian lyricist, singer and composer who grew up in the suburbs of the capital. After a polyvalent schooling in Letters and Music, she left Tunisia at the age of 19 to settle in Paris and pursue a course in Literary Preparatory Classes and then in Islamology. Passionate about music and writing since her childhood, she decided to release her first project in 2017. Accompanied by Feddini in musical production, she released her independent and highly creative EP entitled "After Work". Following this first EP, Popytirz takes part, in October 2017, in the evening "Vanishing Borders" alongside other artists at the Museum of Immigration History/Palais Dorée.
She then decides to continue the adventure by releasing in January 2019 the single-opus "LUV-جغرافيا قحبة" where she exposes an ode to Saudade. Popytirz writes it in alternating Arabic, English and French, which gives her universe a singularity hitherto unknown in the world of music. The music is immersed in a homemade video created by Popytirz and specific to her, where the real and virtual worlds are intertwined through the digital and digital, an imprint specific to the visual framework that the artist wants to install. For this opus, Popy chose to collaborate with guitarist, bassist and composer Thomas Guicquero Aka Dama Beats and with Stxev Abidov.
Between Popytirz and Stxev Abidov it was the first human and artistic encounter. From this meeting was born the remix "LUV 2.0" released in June 2019 followed by the single "Medina Marauders- آه يا ليل آه يا عين" released in September of the same year. In October, Popy was invited to open the musical events of the Dream City festival in Tunis, a live show during which she enchanted the audience with her music and lights.
In February 2020, Popytirz announces the forthcoming release of her album "اسمعني-You better Listen" still in the company of Stxev Abidov. She shares with her public the first track "صاحي سكران - Sober Drunk" always varying between the three languages and experimenting with new musical concepts reminiscent of a Trip Hop universe and daring to join it to her different musical influences Arabic, electronic, Hip Hop and others...
The album promises to be an arabesque of the Spleen specific to today's generation considering Popytirz's writing which tackles the emotions and describes the adventures of life according to its obviously and artistically emotional perception.

About the album "Asma3ni / You Better Listen" :
The album " Asma3ni / You Better Listen " will include ten tracks, each exploring a state of mind ranging from Spleen to Saudade to Deception... I wanted to paint through this album all my emotions and share them with an audience aware of my sensitivity and my insatiable desire for musical research. To do this I had to call on a few beatmakers and producers who share this curiosity and knowledge with me. I appointed Stxev Abidov, a multi-talented Tunisian composer, but also Aeli, a Tunisian beatmaker and DJ based in LA, USA and Killa, a mixing prodigy in Tunisia.
