Project presentation :
My solitary confinement, I who always hated being alone!
I go through different moods: fear, joy, anguish, loneliness .... I observe around me the objects I have accumulated over time: bottle, teapot, vase, mirror... reflective surfaces that create an illusion of presence, a garlic their... I tell myself that these objects could be used to create a larger living space, a parallel yet real world - Photographing these bottles or vases in the different corners of my apartment to give new life to my kitchen, my bedroom, my living room .... My image, distorted by the multiple reflections, creates the illusion of other selves, different from me: a presence half real, half imaginary that allows me to live my confinement in a less solitary way. I eat, sleep and even chat with my other self in our real and fantastic world.

Wadi Mhiri biography :
Wadi Mhiri is a multidisciplinary artist born in Tunis. Trained as a stylist, he specialized in photography before opening himself to ceramics, painting, video and installation...
He focuses his attention on the nature and causes of individual behavior rooted in collective processes, social situations and socio-cultural environments. He collects and sorts out what is observable in the development of a person, an environment or the world and establishes the perceptible principles of visual aesthetics.
His works are created for specific sites that become a system of interactive relationships. No interior, implemented object, projected image or movement in space can be isolated, but are all part of a whole that cannot be dissociated or reduced. Wadi Mhiri's works do not aim to be an illustration or a metaphor but seek to interact directly with our reality.
