Presentation of the project :
The Pausa project was born out of the strangeness of the moment we are living during this coronavirus crisis. The desire for this creation was born during the first days of confinement, when the local mosque was broadcasting a looped "hizb latif", chanting our days, to protect us from the scourges of this world. The whole world that stops dead in its tracks, the silence that settles in the cities at the same time as the clean air, the animals that return to the streets of the capitals of the world, our fear, our isolation, the feeling of finding ourselves, the world that changes in an instant?
All this, plus the rhythm of the incantations made me want to write... Then I had the idea of soliciting that sphere that has become omnipresent in our isolation: social networks. I launched an appeal and dozens of friends shared their impressions and comments with me. Words from all over the world came to me ... which I separated into four separate texts: Pause (Facebook harvest) - Silenzio (Wafa Khlif) - Ya latif (Souad Ben Slimane) - Fuga (Silvia Albanez)
More than a piece of music, Alia invites you on a journey. She edits the recording on a white video and invites Internet users touched by her music to put their images, their photo or video montages, in short their imagination.
Work presented: Silenzio - Music: Alia Sellami - Text: Wafa Khlif
